Kirby Puckett had a stroke yesterday, he died from it this afternoon. Kirby was one of my childhood heros, and I have many fond memories about watching him play, especially in the 1991 World Series. I didn't get to go to any of the World Series games, but I did get to see one of the ALCS games against the Blue Jays. The Twins lost that one, but it was still great to be there and be part of and see part of the history of my team being made. This morning, when I was getting ready for work, I took a swig of mouthwash (probably a little too enthusiastically) and it ended up going up my nose. Let me tell you, that's one odd sensation. I had a very strong smell of mint in my nostrils for a while. Work sucked, but that's pretty normal, especially for Mondays. After work I went to Ruby Tuesdays with my mom and sister. At dinner, mom accidently squirted me in both eyes with the lemon from her lemonaide. So yeah... painful things going in both my nose and eyes today... fun.
