Bored as hell in suburban Minnesota.
Yesterday
Yesterday was exhausting, both physically and emotionally. The day technically started with picking a friend up at the airport at about 1:30AM. I've been to the airport to pick someone up or drop someone off six times in the past couple weeks or so, really makes me wish I could go on a vacation. Probably got to sleep about 3:30-3:45. At sometime between 7:30 and 7:45 I got a call from work asking me to come in early. My co-worker, Ashley, was really good friends with Jeff (mentioned in my last post) and his visitation and funeral were that day. I worked from 8:30 to 4:30, it was busy, as Mondays usually are. After work, I went home briefly before going over to the visitation with my family. I saw some people that I hadn't seen in a long time there, caught up with some of them. I was holding up pretty well until I went up to the casket and saw the body. The morticians had done a good job, he looked a lot more like his old self than he did when he died. I cried when his sister bent down to kiss him before the closed the casket. The service was pretty nice, there were a lot of fond remembrances. His dad, his brother, and the pastor all had great stories they shared. I cried again when my sister, Laura, sang a song. The church was packed, I'd never seen that many people there. Jeff had a lot of friends, he was always a good natured person, even when things weren't going so good for him. There was a meal after the service, but I didn't really want to stay. I said goodbye to a few people and got out of there, got home about quarter to 9.
